As seen in The Shire

You know you’ve really made it in life when you grace the cover of The Shire newspaper! We were thrilled to do just that earlier this summer, with the story of how we rescued The Lifeboat from potentially getting turned into yet more flats.

Instead, we’ve preserved a piece of Shire’s heritage (and of our own drinking history!) in the form of the new and improved Lifeboat Inn. We couldn’t have done it without the help of countless local folk, all of whom will be getting thanked in styled, immortalised on our Wall of Legends which is in progress as we speak (September 2021) as well as here on the website.
