The first pint!
This isn’t just any old pint. This is the very, very first pint to be poured by The Lifeboat’s new bar manager, Kai, from the pub’s spanking new lines. Seen enjoying his cool, crisp Birra Moretti is Martin Ackerman, new licensee and one of the group of nine local men who’ve given the Lifeboat its new lease of life. Work has been going on for a wee while now, as anyone who’s noticed the seemingly endless procession of vans and trades people on the High Street will know. But we’re there! We’re ready to open!
There will be a closed-door (invite only) celebration on the evening of Friday 24 September, for those who volunteered their time, effort, skills and goods to help the lads get the pub up together and fit for its new purpose as a community focused pub at the heart of the village.
The date for YOUR diary is Saturday 25 September at 11am, when the all new and improved Lifeboat will officially open its doors to the public.
Come on down. It’s been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to see you.
